Background: In our latest project, the S-TEC team completed an advanced 6.3 kWp solar installation for a residential client in Hadleigh, Essex. Challenge: Our client aimed to maximise energy independence through a sustainable solution that would withstand environmental elements while generating high energy output. Key considerations included protection from wildlife interference and ensuring consistent energy storage and conversion efficiency.
Solution: Our solution combined multiple high-performance components:
- 14 x 450W DMECG Panels: These powerful panels generate ample energy to meet the household’s needs.
- Van Der Valk Pitched Roof Mounting System: This mounting solution provides stability and optimised orientation for peak sunlight capture.
- Bird Proofing: Added to protect the system from wildlife interference and increase the system’s durability.
- SolarEdge S440 Optimisers and SE6000 Inverter: These components work together to maximise energy conversion efficiency and ensure smooth, reliable power management.
- SolarEdge 10kWh Energybank: A robust storage solution that allows the client to store excess energy for use during peak demand or cloudy days, enhancing energy independence.
After completing the installation and commissioning the system, all components were set up and generating electricity. The final task is to install an enclosure around the battery and inverter to ensure added protection and safety.
Outcome: The client now benefits from a fully operational solar setup that generates free, clean electricity while minimising their carbon footprint and energy costs.
